Fandoms

A Fandom Is

1. The most disturbing phenomenon of our generation.

2. A group of people all obsessed with the same thing. Usually a work of fiction being either a movie, book, TV show, anime, comic, video game, etc...

3. A way for lonely people to feel a part of something larger than themselves.

4. A collective of creepy obsessive type people that only serves to feed and encourages each other in unhealthy obsessions and exaggerated exultation of non-existent people, creatures, places and objects.

5. An emotional drug. With other such hypnotized fans just as addicted as you or any other fan are, to a specific subject. A large group of unstable and emotional fans that devote half of their time in daily life, loving the thing they are so dedicated to. Whether its the writers, the shippers, or the followers; they all emotionally go haywire over it as one. 

6. A community that surrounds a tv show/movie/book etc. Fanfiction writers, artists, poets, and cosplayers are all members of that fandom. Fandoms often consist of message boards, live journal communities, and people.

Yes, I do talk about these shows a lot, just ask my friends or sister. Yesterday I saw that the 5th season of Merlin came on Netflix and I flipped! I did a happy dance and everything. (We don't have tv, Netflix is all we have) Emma, my little sister looked at me like I had lost my marbles.

Family Reunion 2013

Every other year around the 4th of July, my family holds a Crume/ Pringle reunion. (I'm on the Crume side) It's held in Southern Oregon on the family ranch. There isn't any wifi, unless I go down to the house, but I'll most likely be either at the campground or the river. So I won't be able to post anything until I'm home. 

Right now, it's Tuesday, June 2. I got here Thursday. There aren't many people here yet, because the reunion doesn't start until tomorrow, then will last until Sunday the 7th. I'll be here until the 8th though. You maybe wondering why I'm here so long. Well actually I'm here with Emma and my grandparent right now to help out and get ready. That, and it's fun to hang out with family, which I only get to see about once a year.

Sorry. I got busy, then I've been having a lot of fun! :-) Hey, fun is good right?

I have been:

•playing card games

•going to the river

•playing icon pop quiz

•getting my hair done

•talking

•riding horses

•staying up late

•paint ball fights

•taking pictures

•barn hockey 

•driving (it's on private property, so it's legal)

•& needs for life (ex. Eating, drinking, sleeping, getting dressed, ect.)

I live in a blended family. My parents divorced when I was about nine, and my little sister about four... A lot of drama and crying happened... Dad's in Pacifica, California... Mom marries the most awesome guy ever and his two kids in 2010... This is what my house looks like:

Hello

Well hello there to whoever's reading this! 
My name is Hailey Grace Currie. My friend started a blog here a while back, and I thought that it would be fun to try it. I'm not expecting may people to read this- if any- I just want to try it out, see if I like it, and share my life with the world. Well, for now it's just the empty void of the Internet, but maybe someday, someone will read this. You are, but this could be years after I post this.

I hope that whoever reads this will get to know who I am, how i spend my days, what I like to do, and what I believe in. 
Maybe this whole thing will just be fruitless and lame, but it could turn out to be a lot more than I ever expected. 

Maybe I'll get board and quit before summer ends, or maybe this is something I spend my whole life working on. I guess we'll have to see.
